Daysaver Essential8 Multitool

The Daysaver Essential8 packs 8 tools into 33 grams, in the slim form factor of an Allen key. Swiss engineered, plasma coated stainless steel, Neodymium magnet bit retention. The multitool that gets out of the way until you need it.

8 Tools at 33 Grams

The Daysaver Essential8 is the answer to a question most riders ask themselves eventually: why does every multitool feel like a compromise? Either it is too heavy, too bulky to reach half the bolts on the bike, or it lacks the torque a workshop-quality tool provides. Designed and engineered in Switzerland, the Essential8 solves all three problems simultaneously, in a package that weighs less than a bidon cap and fits in a jersey pocket without noticing it is there.

How it works

The Essential8 follows the form factor of a standard Allen key rather than the folding knife layout that defines most multitools. Eight functions are nested inside two adapter bits, held in place by Neodymium magnets with NiCuNi and epoxy coatings that keep them locked in dirty and wet conditions.

Two lever lengths, 43mm and 93mm, give the rider precise torque control on delicate components and genuine mechanical advantage when a bolt actually needs force. The stainless steel is plasma coated for corrosion resistance, and all inscriptions are laser engraved rather than printed, so sizing references survive a full season of use.

The eight tools cover the bolts that actually matter on a modern bike: Hex 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and Torx 25. The slim profile reaches bolts behind cable stops, inside frame junctions, and around components where a bulkier tool damages the finish or simply cannot enter the space cleanly.

The Coworking6TL extension

The Essential8 is also available combined with the Coworking6TL, a 39-gram tubeless-specific extension that snaps onto the Essential8 via magnets and transforms it into a complete trailside repair kit. The Coworking6TL adds a chain breaker, a tire lever, a tubeless plug tool with side-loading tip and T-handle for effortless insertion, a spoke wrench, a valve core tool and a master link holder, all held together magnetically and small enough to sit in a jersey pocket alongside the multitool itself. The combined setup covers every mechanical scenario that typically ends a ride, without resorting to a separate repair kit.

The complete trailside toolkit

For riders building out a complete ride-day repair setup, the Essential8 and Coworking6TL combination pairs naturally with the Dynaplug Racer Pro. While the Coworking6TL includes a tubeless plug tool for on-the-spot repairs, the Dynaplug Racer Pro carries four pre-loaded plugs and handles multiple punctures in succession without reloading. Together the two systems cover every tubeless scenario a ride can throw at you, from a single fast fix to a rough day on bad terrain, without adding meaningful weight to the jersey.
