MAAP Eyewear Collection

MAAP enters eyewear with four models split across two clear territories. Three performance frames for road, gravel and XC, and one acetate lifestyle frame built for everything off the bike.

New Category, Same Obsession

MAAP built its reputation on apparel that cyclists actually want to wear, not just kit that performs on paper. The eyewear collection follows the same logic. Four models, two clear territories, and no compromise between how a pair of sunglasses looks and what it does on the bike. For a brand entering a crowded category for the first time, the collection reads less like a side project and more like a natural extension of everything MAAP has been building toward.

The Halo

The Halo is the most performance-focused of the three, built for speed on tarmac. Its frameless aerodynamic shield delivers an uninterrupted field of view and comes with an interchangeable low-light lens, making it useful across the full range of conditions a road rider encounters rather than just bright summer days. Ultralight TR90 thermoplastic construction keeps weight negligible on the face. Grippy temple tips and interchangeable nose bridges maintain a secure fit through efforts where a shifting frame becomes a distraction.

The Oracle

The Oracle covers the same road and speed territory with a different frame geometry, broadening the fit range for riders the Halo does not suit as well.

The Fuse

The Fuse shifts the orientation toward gravel and XC, with a design built for mixed-condition riding where terrain changes faster than weather. The same Advanced Optics lens technology and TR90 construction carry through, adapted for a context where fit stability and clarity across variable light matter as much as aerodynamics.

All three share hydrophobic, oleophobic and anti-fog lens treatments, 100% UV protection, and the kind of considered construction detail that makes the difference over a long ride in changing conditions.

Lifestyle Sunglasses Beyond the Ride

The Gerson is a different object entirely. Built from acetate with CR-39 lenses, it is designed for the hours around the ride rather than the ride itself. The silhouette is clean and geometric, confident enough to work at a café table or in a city without reading as sports eyewear. MAAP applies the same visual restraint to the Gerson that defines their apparel, which means it holds its own off the bike without needing the MAAP name to justify it. It is the same off-bike territory MAAP has been mapping elsewhere, most explicitly in its Volume II collaboration with Public Possession.

Who it’s for

The collection suits riders who want their eyewear to match the standard of the rest of their kit, and who appreciate a brand that has thought carefully about both contexts, on the bike and off it. The Gerson in particular makes the range relevant beyond the ride, which is exactly where Monoro sits.
